The community garden across the street from Delaware Community School had a

bovine visitor on May 26 in the form of Brie, a week-old calf. She came with some

composted manure to help keep the garden green!

  

          

The Delaware Community School virtuosos held their spring concert on May 23,

featuring the third- and fourth-grade orchestra (directed above by Mr. Matt Johnson),

the fifth-grade orchestra, the fourth- and fifth-grade band and the fourth- and fifth-

grade chorus.  

 

       

More than 200 people attended the 2011 Cinco de Mayo celebration, held May 5.

There was enough food and fun for family, friends and more!

 

       

Everyone pitched in to make the Writing Celebration a big success!

 

       

Students showcased their writing skills for family and friends during March 24's

Writing Celebration, which capped the festivities of Literacy Celebration Week.

 

Characters from The Wizard of Oz were spotted in the hallways of Delaware

Community School on Living Literature Day on March 24.

 

        

Also spotted on Living Literature Day were a library of characters from well-loved

kids' books.

 

       

Fifth-grader Jocelyne Tenempaguay makes bread on Jan. 26, when the King Arthur

Flour company visited our school and gave a class in bread-baking for fifth- and

sixth-graders.
