Albany High School goals
The primary goal of the high school for the next several years is to have all students meet the new standards for graduation as identified by the New York State Department of Education.

Areas of need have been identified from achievement results reported by the high school and the City School District of Albany by means of New York State Assessment Results, the New York State School Report Card, the Middle States Accreditation for Growth Process Goals and Objectives, and the Comprehensive District Education Plan.

Goal 1
To increase the number of students passing the New York State Regents Examinations in English, Course A Math, Global Studies, US History and Government, and Science.

Goal 2
To expand opportunities for alternative instruction to students in need of skill development in the areas of math and English Language Arts.

Goal 3
To improve student attendance in school and class as a means to increase academic performance.
