With winter on its way, now is a great time to sign up for Albany School News Notifier (SNN) to get the most current news, information and closing alerts from the City School District of Albany.

SNN is a communication system that allows parents and community members to choose to receive e-mail alerts in up to 24 categories, including individual schools, each of Albany High School’s new academies, and district-wide information about transportation, athletics and the Board of Education.

SNN also provides text alerts regarding school closings, delays and other time-sensitive emergencies.

Citizenship Academy, Discovery Academy, Leadership Academy and Innovation Academy -- the four smaller schools within Albany High – have been added to the menu of subjects for the 2011-12 school year. You can sign up for as many of the academies you like or just the academy most relevant to you.
