Cutting-edge Albany High science programs in the news

ALBANY, N.Y. (Feb. 16, 2012) -- Two cutting-edge Albany High School science programs have been in the news recently, providing information about the excellent opportunities available to all students.

On Feb. 15, CBS6 featured Albany High’s new biotechnology lab, made possible this year through a partnership with Hudson Valley Community College. Check out that story online. You also can read more about "CSI: Albany High" in the winter edition of Capital Education, the City School District of Albany's quarterly newsletter.

Earlier this month, WTEN/TV-10 and YNN/9 both featured Albany High’s “NanoHigh” partnership with the University at Albany’s College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering. That program, considered the first of its kind at an American public high school when it debuted at Albany High in 2007, introduces students to the technology that is redefining the Capital Region economy.
