Committee seeks parent, community participation
The City School District of Albany’s
new Alternative Education Think Tank invites parents
and community members to participate in biweekly
meetings to evaluate the district’s programs and
develop recommendations for the Board of Education.
The collaborative initiative between
the district and community aligns with
the district’s strategic plan, “A Vision for
Tomorrow,” which the board approved in November
2008. The think tank is an important educational and
team-building opportunity to marshal resources and
address the needs of all students.
The next meeting is Monday, Dec. 14
from 5-6:30 p.m. at Parsons Child and Family Center,
60 Academy Road. Future meetings will be scheduled
with input from the committee, and the committee’s
work will be completed by August.
